RBC tells me that non-residents cannot open accounts.

  1.

How cool would it be to say you have a Swiss bank account?

Oh man, I'm finally gonna get laid.

guspckpckt this has occured to me, but need an address. I suppose one could obtain a Canadian PO Box. One would also need to live close enough to drive to the bank and get their $$$ when needed. What's the exchange rate these days? Might be closer and less hastle to just go play in the local live games.

    Burst?

Agreed, I couldn't find any info on minimum balances but the ones I did research were roughly $10,000 daily balances.

But, no charge to open an account.

  4.

Go here, it says no minimum balance required for swiss.

Yeah, and I'd be worried if I didn't think we'd have a dozen new middlemen step up within hours of Netteller's closing. There are already about half a dozen big ones, and I doubt they'll all go away anyway.

Exif: I'm so glad I pay 50% less taxes than I would if I lived in Canada. :p

    Go socialism.

You're right, but if Neteller decides to comply with US law (they don't have to, but they seem to be implying that they will anyhow), we'll lose them as the middleman. Until someone else steps up to the plate, no deposits.

    http://www.swissaccount.com.ar/

I was looking into this, and apparently for only 90$ you can get an acct. However you do need a valid/legal passporte. I was thinking about doing this myself. They say it is very easy to use, and your acct can be monitored online by yourself. Sorry if this has already been posted but I just wanted to throw some more options out there. Have a good 1 guys.

Please let me know what you think about doing this, however I am thinking about doing it.

You miss the fact.... after the UIGEA is enforced you cannot transfer funds rom a US account to gambling sites.. hence.. you can trasnfer them to an offshore account, but will you be able to sustain an account at one?

i posted this on another thread also but think there is a lot of interest in it so I am adding it here. I found this site that is offering an offshore account with a visa debit card. Minimum deposit is 100 US and they only charge normal account fees. The card comes with 2 addresses your mailing address and an overseas one. I deposited an am waiting for my card now.

  6.

    You all miss the point.

American acct -> Neteller (or similar offshore service) -> Poker Site outside of American jurisdiction.

And then the American law... can do nothing. It can't go after your bank, which didn't deposit into a gambling site, can't go after your middleman site, since it's outside of American jurisdiction and can't go after the gambling site, because it is also outside of American jurisdiction.

And it can't go after you, because you're not targeted by the law.

So start throwing money into questionable offshore accounts all you want, but it won't change a thing.

How much is the minimum deposit for a credit card?

The minimum deposit is decided individually, usually it must be equal to the credit card monthly credit. So if your credit card has for example a $5.000monthly spending limit, your minimum balance must be $10.000.

It says the minimum deposit is 1K... what is the point? All you have to do is get a US Bank acount and sav yourself $89 on start up fees.... gimic
