Okay. Here are my finishes in 9 player sng's that cost between $10-$30. Keep in mind 9 player sngs are a financial drain on me.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
67 21 33 40 47 37 50 41 37
So... my occurance of 2nd and 3rd place finishes are lower then any other finishing place...but i finish 1st more then in any other position? Odd what does this say about my style of play maybe it can help me determine what i need to do to be a more profitable player maybe a more conservative approach?
You're barely losing while playing for the win and that's because of the flat payout structure. You need to focus your game more on cashing and less on taking 1st for single table tourneys. Your style of play is definitely more suited for the multi-table tourneys with a really top heavy pay out. Try playing those for a while and see how it goes. Either that or adapt your strategy to a STT structure.
In my opinion, you may be playing to loose at the beginning and playing too many big pots with marginal hands. Once you get down to three handed, this isn't too bad because the blinds are higher and you need to be more agro. I dont know ur style, but that is what it looks like.

is my observation correct it looks like the the buy in fee is beating you?
if that was subtracted u would be in positive territory
hope you dident mind the research RC
Ok it looks like you are going for the win in every game prematurely. Maybe you just need to concentrate on getting into the money or very close to it before getting overly aggressive.
By those statistics it looks like you are going very hard early/before the bubble and if it comes off.. great you usually get 1st but if it doesn't then you are not cashing at all which is the major problem.

My guess is that you are playing too many races. When you win them, you win the SNG, when you lose them, you bust early. You do not want to get all your money in until you are a significant favorite. AK and small-medium pairs can be laid down to too much action with low blinds. Once blinds get high you are forced to go with these hands, but you do not need to gamble with them early.
Interesting maybe i need to stick to MTT's...i dont seem to be good enough at 9 player sng's to overcome the 10 percent rake. I shoudl either keep my style of playmore top heavy tournys (the 90 player SNG's hav been profitable for me my ROI is about 200 percent) or play a more conservative game when i do decide to play p player SNG's. I'm leaning more towards not playing single table tournys.
Stats are great we can learn so much thanks
