of course he is...do you realize he has his OWN poker site?

it wouldnt make sense for him to join FTP if he created his own site

why does poker stars get the main event champs? why cant we get em? thery're just lucky sobs and they're flukes. but id love a champ here. and why not get phil hellmuth off ultimate bet and bring him here, he was on the learn from pros on fsn.

  3.

Phil Who? Phil Gordon (haha) and are contracted exclusively to FTP, and Phil Hellmuth runs Ultimate.

Also, Daniel Negreanu is a well reknowned for talking absolute bull, it usually happens whenever his lips move. He uses daily conversation and chat boxes for practice at bluffing, although the railtards that read/spam him are a lot more gullible than the opponents he plays.

  4.

I hope what you said about Negreanu is true. He's probably the best person they could sign a deal with right now.

Matusow must not be exclusive to Full Tilt. Pocketfives.com has an interesting chat between him and the poker brat. Apparently Phil did a hit and run on him at the omaha tables on ultimate bet.

I know this is an old thread, but in googling what kind of sponsorship deals the pros get, I came across it and wanted to ask...

Does anyone know what kind of offers they get? I'm sure the deal Ivey got is different than the one Paul Wasicka got, but it has me curious... especially because I read on a website that Matusow gets $150k/month from ... that can't be right. Maybe $150k/year? plus tournament buy-ins??

Well, one very good reason might be, Phil is, in all probability, under a long term contract with UB--and can't join another site. I'd bet a dime to a dollar there is a 'no compete' clause in there somewhere.

Pure speculation on my part--but something to think about.

  5.

They're mostly cash game specialists or SNGers. They seem to frequent the omaha tables as well, so you wont recognise a lot of them from holdem games.

  6.

Mike Matusow has been a FT Pro since last summer.

There is no Full Tilt policy or prohibition against anyone playing WPT events. The few players who are not playing WPT events due to the contents of the WPT player release form made that decision as individuals.

Steve... what you are saying is , that Mouth is a Full Tilt PRO now... and are the guys signed to ristricted contracts really not gonna be able to play on the WPT Circuit? ...Due to the contract line drama with the use of image.

    Thanks...

I read somewhere that they get paid an hourly salary for playing on the site (kinda like High Stakes although not as much, I'm sure... I think they get $1000/hour on HSP).

I also read the pros get 100% rakeback. Gavin Smith confirmed this on the Nov 11 radio show on PokerRoad.com.

    http://www.pokerroad.com/_/pokerroad_radio/11-11-07/

Gavin also said he gets a monthly salary and incentives for wearing FT gear when he makes a final table.

Hellmuth gets paid VERY nicely to wear that UB windbreaker whereever he goes lol

no chance of him leaving UB...he is the face of UB and he brings the people there

  7.

I think they should get devilfish on here. That would be sweet!

    JOE CASSIDY!

I saw him wearing Full Tilt gear also. I have no idea what that's all about though. I just know I wanna see him here! lol

I've noticed that Huck Seed has been playing almost daily for the past week or more, but they don't have a custom avatar for him yet. Is he signed with FullTilt now?

I think Mike is dill pickle on ultimate bet.

  12.

Lee Watkinson is another pro that was decked out in Full tilt gear during the WSOP. I noticed a 25% increase in tournament entrants since the WSOP started. Tilt is doing a good job of getting the word out and bringing more action to the site.

Seems like you just need to win a 6 handed SNG and they will turn your name red. My god it seems like everyother player is a "pro" on here now.

Dunno what kind of deal Matusow or Ivey has, however, a few weeks ago I chatted with Lee Watkinson during a tournament and he said he had small perks like entries to special tournaments, better rakeback, and points bonuses. Thats what he said to me and couldnt get any more info. I am sure Ivey has a better deal than Watkinson though.
