I want to reinvest my points back into . What's the best way to do this? I have about 5.2k at the moment, after blowing 1 - 2k trying to get tokens. I'm thinking I might play satellites for the Daily Double and try to win several times, making the $12 each successive win. Is this a reasonable strategy? Should I keep trying for tokens instead? Is there a better strategy?

    what about a plasma TV?

I think the books are not a good deal...the FTP tournament guide, for example, is 9,000 points I believe. But for 9,000 points, you could enter 15 STTs to win a $26 token. Even if you win just 1/15, that's about the price of a book. But if you're equal to your opponents you should win 1.67 times on average, or an expected token value of about $44. And if you're a pretty good player, you could probably earn 2, 3, 4 tokens in 15 tries. Now, doesn't mean you'll go on to make any money in the tournies you play with your tokens, but the value is still more and much more potential for a big payday with those $24+2 MTTs. Just my thoughts. I thought about buying a book, but was told it's pretty much a ripoff. Just go to amazon and drop $20-$30 for the books...I think the points can be used in a better way to try to strike paydirt.

Slightly different way of looking at investing those points back into would be to buy a book from the store.. I havn't really looked but I'm sure you could get something decent.

If it was a word, it would be a great description of you..

Playing for tokens and the DD are good choices, I would include also

if you want to go for the Big One, to try the Sat nite satellite for the Sunday Super Bowl / any one of the other big Sunday tourneys. It is

usually 2500 points but the reward maybe worth it.... Good Luck..

I would like to hear more opinions on the best way to spend FTP points as well. I was thinking the 600 point STTs for $26 tokens seems like the best bet. Any other recommendations?

Buying things from the store makes no sense to me, unless I win a billion dollars and I'm so happy with that I want to advertise for them. The points are worth more to me as buyins. I'd rather pay real money for the non-Full-Tilt items.

I think those 50 ftp freerolls are the best. The top 5 get a $26 token. There usually around 500 players if no pro's get in.

wait...why are tokens the best deal in the ironman store?

Hm. That doesn't sound so great to me. That sounds like a lot of time to spend for a 1% chance of cashing.

Unless they are immensely profitable, I'd rather stay away from tournaments, because they take so long to play. I have a job to do during the day, and a wife to go home to afterward!

I believe the token tournys are the best way to go also. The satellite tournys can be fun also but i would rather have the tokens.

I play 10-15 of the 600-pt SNGs per month, and get at least 2 tokens per month from them. I also spend my iron man medals on $26 tokens, so I get an average of at least $60 in free tournament entries per month, before rakeback.

Of course, you could always just save FTPs up, and sell them.

    FYP.

LO is right. Also, converting ironman metals into tokens has no affect on that which cannot be said, which makes it the best deal in the store.

The 300 FTP sat to the 2500 FTP FTSOP seems doable (hey- I know it's not a word) as well.
