I don't love watching poker on tv, but sometimes it catches me at the right time and I can watch it.

When I can't sleep poker after dark on NBC is something I sometimes watch, it comes on at 2am.

This week I tuned in and it was all women, I started watching it and to be honest it was unwatchable.

I wasn't interested in any of the players and I found some of them to just be flat out annoying.

That Vanessa Rousso girl is really cute but hearing about her so called ability to rap is just flat out annoying.

The table talk was just awful and one point 2 of them were talking about purses and what their daughters had or something.

I don't mind watching women play but a whole table of women just wasn't very entertaining.

MToeltl Would you rather listen to 6 cackling hens, or Phil Laak say "I LOVE YOU GUYS" every 30 seconds during "trash talkers week"

Yeah, the trash was a little much. But I must admit that anything that provides some table talk is so much better than watching a bunch of silent rich white guys playing poker which is what PAD is way too much of the time.

It could have been worse, if they had gotten Jennifer Tilly we would have had to listen to that scratchy, sing-song voice. Or it could have been better if they had gotten Shannon Elizabeth we coud have turned the sound off entirely.

FAST EDDIE 88 "Having an all woman field in the first place is sexist in it self. There are no all male events. That leads me to believe the only reason for having it is to give women a chance to say they won something."

Make no mistake, it's television. It's not about giving women a chance at anything. It's all about ratings, which I guess is a form of sexism. Even in poker it seems TV-types assume women=sex=ratings. I mean there is a reason that the PAD website includes a photo gallery for host Shana Hiatt.

FAST EDDIE 88 "It's like saying to women, you suck and you can't compete with the men, so we'll let you have your own thing."

There have been women on before and they usually out-last at least of couple of the guys. I went to bed a little early last night but it looked like Annie Duke was certainly going to out-last Phil Laak.

They mentioned last night that Jenn Harmon holds the show's record for comebacks - she went down to $4,000 and cameback to win the $120,000 bank. I don't know if that was the all-girl game or another, but that's an accomplishment.

'Course among women players she seems to be in a class all her own. She's in next week's "Mega-Match" whatever that means.

I would be insulted at the very idea of these tounaments if I was a woman.

Guy poker players talk about clothing at the table. Especially Hellmuth, and his $600 Versace shirts, or whatever he wears. Women carry purses. It's part of their wardrobe.

She just won't shut up and she is a very loud talker, I felt uncomfortable watching the show because I could feel the dislike of her from the other ladies through the TV.

It was just an all around awful show.

I'd be happy to make more money because I have tits.

Either way, sounds like another strong argument for why we need more affirmative action type things in society. Best way keep track of the inferior peoples. 8) Since there's no affirmative action for white guys, I know where I stand...

I am a woman and find mindless banter annoying as well. Normal conversation is fine but constant babble IS irritating.

The men do it as well. Even more annoying is when professional players do not display poker ettiquite by cursing, talking their hand and displaying an overall bad attitude.

It DOES seem as though the women engage in mindless chatter MORE than the men.

I can't tell from your post if you agree with me or if you're trying to argue with me.

If you're arguing against what I said, then you can stop. We are saying the same thing, if you read my post in the correct context.

And if you are agreeing with me, then I guess I'm the a.sshole

its even worse being between two clacklers in a live game

I'm sorry but I am Lmao at this.

Those cackling hens WERE unwatchable. So don't worry- it wasn't just you. I honestly had to put my TV on mute. Luckily when Rousso starts losing, or has a hand, she shuts up a bit.

Why is it that her glasses give her about 2 pts. in the looks department? When she takes them off she's easily the average, thin, bleach-blond female.
