    Personally, I hated the "forum pro" title, in its previous incarnation. Here's why: When I first came here, I assumed it meant that the user had some sort of formal relationship with FullTilt. I didn't assume the forum pros were professional poker players, but I figured the different color and word "pro" denoted something meaningful.

    The problem was, it LOOKED like something more than a post count indicator, but it wasn't. I didn't take it too seriously, but I can imagine someone coming on here, thinking it meaningful, and taking some crummy advice to heart on account of it.

    If you want to revive the title, make it a meritocracy. Let the mods hand out the title to the cleverer posters -- it'll give us something fun to argue about, at least.

    I'm thinking Rick just got bored this week. Why penalize everyone just because of the few? Rick could just as easily implemented a new ranking system without publishing the criteria. He also could deny the blue to anyone who clearly and shamelessly post whored to get it.

    Mods definitley need to have the power to make custom titles. Also people who beg/persuade mods in to giving them a custom title shouldn't get one anytime soon. It should be the mod's decision only.

    at first when i started reading this post i didn't realize what you were talking about and now i do and i think your completely off by getting rid of the pro status newer people like myself should realize who had been here longer and stays active in the forum

    You could always make it something derogatory, so people would not aspire to obtain it, like Forum A-Hole. Unless you're Jobe of course.

    So what is the case with this? What are the requirements for the BLUE title? I wasn't really around when this discussion was ongoing as due to the birth of my daughter. YEA!! Anyways...there doesn't seem to be a clear cut decision on this yet I see all these new titles. What are the qualifications for this...post count, date here or both? Good Luck All!!

    Dear Tilter Rick

    I wish you would not remove the title Forum Pro in its entirety . Many of the forum pro's are more than just members who post lots of crap (like me). I think it would be an easy thing for you to decide who gets to have the title and who doesn't , But to just erase it from all the other long time members who go out of their way to help .... or even tell an idiot to get lost should have a little something to say they actually know what the heck they are talking about .

    I know thats why there are mods but there are quite a few people who IMHO deserve to be acknowledged for going the extra mile for the newer members and such .

    I just hope you rethink this move , but I agree... some thing did need to be done , or people would just spam their asses of again and again .

    I know that just curious cuz the whole thread there was debate on which need should be met in order to get it. Once I saw the other people who aren't near the 1000 mark I guess I figured that Rick is giving them out on an "as need" basis. Thanx for the reply.

    This should answer your question SFBuc. Tilter Rick sometimes gives out titles to people, regarldless of the post count. he just feels like they deserve a title.

    Once you hit 1001 posts your title changes to Message Board Junkie and is blue.

    The custom titles are given out by Tilterick at his own discression

    I agree. Sort of like on 2+2. Once you are a clearly recognizable figure on the board you can be assigned a title when a mod/tilter decides on a fitting/funny nickname. I think it'd add a bit more character to the forum.

    Let's be honest, it wouldn't run the forum into the ground much farther than it is.

    Not sure if this was maybe talked about in another section of the forum already, but is the Forum Pro title gone? and maybe for good this time??

    How long has it been taking away.. can't be too long ago, just realized it about 10 minutes ago and it was still there earlier today.

    If Forum Pro is truly dead, then it would seem logical to just have nothing.

    If people start getting custom titles assigned to them, it's just gonna increase the amount of ass-kissing toward the assignee.

    My only suggestion would be to have everyone create a bank of viable options that can be used in place of the old Forum Pro title. Each forumer can then choose from that list and assign it to his/her forum name.

    Holy I caused so much drama. I have a suggestion. Let all the other 1000 post people have their forum pro back. Then name me like A hole or high card or anything. if that will make you all happy. because personally right now I dont care. I have my tinkerbell title at the ninjah forums to cherise.

    Still I do find it amazing how one man can cause so much drama and hate.
