Well... I started out at Party Poker. I noticed all the donkey players, but they have that at every site. No getting away from that.

I don't think the wave from PP will hit FTP too much. I mean, there is a huge scare that online poker will all together get banned, to the uneducated in the subject that is. I doubt we'll see a huge jump in FTP players.

I mean real pros, people who REALLY make money playing poker. Not TV pros.

David Benyamine (looseslots/something else) - he's gone through a few different accounts. A month or so ago, he'd be playing big PLO games with Ivey, Matusow, Chip Reese (caseyatthebat), Dags, etc.

    Not Real Pros?

    What planet are you from?

I don't know how big PP was; never played on there. But I've been seeing over 21,000 players on FTP the past few nights. That seems like a lot of players. That's a small city. I think the longest I've ever had to wait for a SNG was about 5 minutes. And that was a 45 person SNG in the middle of the afternoon. Usually they fill up pretty quickly.

And I've hardly ever played with the same people. I take notes on most players, and I've only played with one or two people that I had previously taken notes on. And I would actually prefer to play with the same people so I could learn their game better.

As far as pros playing on PP, the only one I know of is Mike Sexton. There are so many freaking pros on FTP it's crazy. Everytime I log on there are several top pros playing. Phil Ivey, Erik Lindgren, Chris Ferguson, John Juanda, Allen Cunningham, Mike Matisow, just to name a few. Plus several players making a living just playing online. I've actually had the privilege to have actual conversations with Pros like Lindgren, Perry Friedman, and Steve Brecher while playing on FTP.

I know - the problem is people don't understand HOW to use this style. I do, and it is VERY profitable. You have to trust your postflop play abilities though, which is a skill I've found that nearly ALL low limit players lack. It's also part of the reason why I hate low limit cash games - that style doesn't work on idiots who play no fold'em hold'em*. At a higher limit, hell yes it's profitable.

*I'll have to see how profitable a style it is in Limit Hold'em though. I might try that live on Monday.

I will say, however, that E-Dog's tip works well for me in tournaments - I rely heavily on implied odds and postflop play. If I'm first in the pot, I raise. If there's a raise in front of me, I call IF, and only IF, I'm in position after the flop. After that, I have to have two pair or better, or I'm out.

I always see a guy by the name of Ballsrider always at the high limit tables. Is he a pro? Or does any 1 know about him?

The talk of the forums is that the latest pro tip would cause exactly what you're describing:

    Dude, you're on crack.
