someone explain to me why queens full of jacks looses to ace high straight in omaha hi-lo .
Remember you must use two hole cards and three board cards. (Edit corrected 4 to 3).
So to make a full house, there must be a pair on the board.
The other option would be that you did have the full house, but were beat by a royal flush. Could that Ace-high straight have been suited?Last edited by bright star on Tue Feb 21, 2006 1:20 am; edited 1 time in total
You probably lost to a straight flush. Everytime the chips go the wrong way in that situation for me, it turns out the other guy had quads or a str8 flush.
Chances are that you misread your hand. You have to post the hand history.
lol
let me guess
the board looked something like TQJJQ
and you had a Q but no J
you may not know this, but in omaha you need to use *2* cards from your hand
you cant use only one, or play the board like in hold'em
so your hand looked like this: QQQJX
you had your Q trips beaten by a straight.
makes sense, no?
oh yes
just a point of conjecture
learn to use hand histories to your advantage
quite useful things they are.
you must not have been playing poker. because the poker rules rank a full house higher than a str8.
lol
just kidding.
you must be missing something.
TIN FOIL HAT!!
dont forget this is hi low, so maybe the other guy won the lo with ace-5 and some1 else had a better full house?
You mean two hole cards and *three* board cards.
Whenever you have some free time, let's play.
