This guy is around 20/12/0.75 over about 100 hands. Earlier he raised with AJ and lost about 1/2 a stack on a AKQ9x board to a guy with A9. The only other big pot was one where he called down to the river with a OESD, and missed it (river was checked).

I've been playing quite loose, around 35/21/1.4. I've been 3betting a few times too, with reasonable success.

First of all what do you think of my flop bet? And more importantly, WTF do i do with his flop minraise?

    Party Poker

    No Limit Holdem Ring game

    Blinds: $0.10/$0.25

    6 players

    Stack sizes:

    UTG: $36.58

    UTG+1: $24.65

    CO: $145.48

    Hero: $40.80

    SB: $45.72

    BB: $7.33

    Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with 2 2

UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, CO folds, Hero raises to $0.8, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls.

    Flop: K K 2 ($1.95, 2 players)

    UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $1, UTG+1 raises to $2, Hero ???

I'd get all the money in. With only 100BB, I can't really fold this hand anywhere, unless of course a K falls, or the turn/river are paired, counterfeiting us. If he does hit a boat on the turn it's a cooler.

The discussion on this I think was mainly to see what the best way would be to maximize our value on this hand.

Well lets say that he has either AK, KQ, KJ, or KT. If say, a queen comes on the turn, then that has only made a full house for one of his four holdings. So if we get all of our money in here, we are coming out ahead 3 out of 4 times. Even if the turn and river both come out with two cards between the A-T values, we come out ahead against 2 out of 4 of those hands. And getting better than 2 to 1 on our money if he makes pot bets, there is no reason to fold, even if he has us beat half of the time.

Thanks for responses. I popped it up to $6 and he folded. I was just wondering between the flop call/raise lines.

This definitely looks like a line where he has a king. Re pop him and get it all in.

i suppose the discussion on this hand is about over, but to hopefully revive it, what do you do in this spot if you re-pop, he flat calls, and something 10-A falls on the turn? do you c/c or c/f?

You should be able to get all your money in by the river if he has Kx. You can flat call, and pot bet the turn and river and get essentially all in, or even bet out 2/3 the pot and get raised. That is not that big of a problem.

But what you should worry about is what to do against the rest of the hands in his range. I'd probably put his range on AcXc and any other pocket pair. If you flat call, then you might induce some action later like a bluff or a made flush might bet into you if a club hits. Also, you might get some value out of a medium pocket pair if undercards come on the turn and river.

The best option overall is probably a call and a 2/3 pot bet if checked to you.

with this kind of a flop i'd be 95% sure i'll have the best hand on the river,

i think that his minraise is either a semibluff with the clubdraw or a midpair trying to find out if it is any good... not very likely that he has a king but if the has one he's gonna pay u off unless he sucks out with kings full...

just call the raise and hope for a club... if it doesnt come we'll just have to hope that he'll keep betting, i'd raise the turn regardless of what it brings just to see how strong he is, and he'll probably push if hes made the flush or has a king...

but my guess is that he has PP like 44-77

    you're in position so call

if turn brings the flush, and he checks, bet enough so you can push it in on river

if turn is no flush and he bets, raise

if turn brings the flush and he bets raise...he's a donkey he'll stack off with any flush any king

If he has a king, he will eventually get all in anyway, regardless if we raise now or on the turn/river. If you want any value from his other hands he could have, then we need to call here.

This donk solidy has Kx, pop it here to 5$ he raises all in, you call it and hope he misses.
