    Just out of curiosity –

Can two separate people living in the same house, having the same phone number, and using the same IP address have separate accounts?

My boyfriend wants to sign up for a FTP account, but I don’t want any trouble with me being suspected of using multiple accounts. We do have different banking info. though and of course different names.

I'm sure there must be roomates or husbands/wives who play on separate accounts using the same IP address, I guess I just don't want to borrow trouble.

I dont see what's so wrong with having two accounts, as long as you dont use both of them at one table or enter into a tournament with both....I know some people who just wanted to change their names, so they made new accounts and transfered their money over to the new account and abandoned the old one.

I guess if you make another account, you can deposit and get another bonus......hmmm, maybe it is a bad thing. Oh well. I just proved myself wrong. meh

I made a second account at Stars because I didn't like my user name, and when they found out that I did this they closed it, and transferred my money back into my old account. Their explanation for this is that online it's not fair to jump accounts. Because people cannot see you they only have your handle to go by. Making notes on a person is the only way they can read you.Last edited by BOYNAMEDSUE on Mon Jan 29, 2007 3:54 pm; edited 1 time in total

Never underestimate the intelligence or stupidity of anyone. I believe there are those out there who truly don't have enough common sense or wisdom to differentiate between right or wrong, especially when it comes to having multiple accounts.

I appreciate Full Tilt's rules regarding the prohibition of having more than a single account per player, but why hasn't this issue been discussed in regards to professionals? Again, the most blatant example of late is that regarding David Benyamine having at least three (known) accounts here.

  6.

What's the source for David actually having multiple accts? In any case when it comes to a pro i see nothing wrong with wanting anonymity sometimes as long as he is not going to log onto more than one account at a time. This is far diff from a normal situation however (exception to the rule).

  7.

Genso, yes you could do this but as a security measure i would send support an email about the topic to give them a heads up and double check.

  8.

do it enough and u will raise enough flags to get caught, even from diff ips. Case in point, zeejustin

  9.

do you know any sites that can give me a new ip address baz?

The only source I feel comfortable mentioning on this forum would be John D'Agostino--search for his posts and see the accounts associated with Benyamine.

  10.

01Baz, how did you get a new ip address?

  11.

they found out suspended my secondary acct. im fine with playin primary acct but need my funds. i now know it was wron, i only wanted a new name. so will they let me withdraw or transfer my funds n tokens to my primary acct. i never played them at same time or nothin so i wasnt tryin to cheat. i emailed 4 days ago havent heard notin yet

it's against the rules, and a number of people have had their accounts suspended for this.

I'm not sure how much Full Tilt minds multiple accounts--for instance, last night I watched a player named magicpitch, who the rail said was David Benyamine. I don't know the validity of this, but I remember John D'Agostino posting on this very forum that Benyamine had several names/accounts he plays under on this site, and I've seen them all. If Tilt excuses this because he is a pro, that's not fair, but perhaps they're just unaware.

i think its cheating and as soon as FT notices it they put a stop to it.
