That seems right. The next two weeks won't count toward the leaderboard, so its like a taking a two week winter break.....or am i wrong??

Just curious as to how i made it on the board. I don't recal playing any of the MBJ's but i may be mistaken.

It would be nice if you could sort by columns (games played, average, etc..), but that's minor stuff. The way you did it, even including bonus points looks great.

Rob- You're now Honest_Rob on the leaderboard... very easy thanks to the search/replace tool.

rmharris- I received the results from FTP and you're listed in the Week 3 results which was held on 11/26/06.

Seriously Phoenix... try showing some humility... even you have admitted to getting a great run of cards. You're making enemies around here pretty quick.

First off, yes, I committed myself to have to call in a marginal spot. But instead of A7, you could just as easily had 93 and folded. I had a stack, I was raising to put some pressure on and I got caught by you. But I wasn't raising like a complete and utter maniac. Not sure where the "raise a big stack with A7 when he's probably going to be committed to call" nugget of gold is either...haven't come across that in my readings.

And yes, I've been lucky. But at least some people can give me credit for playing well. So you've never seen a pro make a raise with a so-so hand to force his opponents into tough spots and end up having to make a less than desirable call because of the inviting odds? Maybe my play wasn't ideal, but don't think it was completely donk like.

You hadn't shown down anything other than AQ...maybe that's true...but I saw you raising quite a bit in some situations, you're definitely not as tight as you might like to think you portray. That you pushed over the top of me with A7 without proper fold equity illustrates that point.

But you seemed to play a solid game. I take nothing away from you. I don't want to get into more flaming. I will stick up for myself when my play is questioned and insulted though. Better luck next week fire_eyes.

What some have mentioned regarding how you come across with your humor, just isn't cutting it. Granted, it's difficult to decipher someone's humor/attitude from a forum post. However, your posts seem to go in the same direction......downward.

Quite a few of the regulars have played all 4 seasons of the MBJ. In season 2 I had a sick run of good cards, suck outs etc. etc. and I think I won like 4 tournies. I really can't remember any brag posts. There's almost always some discussion regarding HH's but for the most part, it was all meant in a constuctive way. That's how we learn. For me, the Sunday night MBJ's are a fun tourney to play weekly with my forum buddies, kick alittle azz (on occassion) and play some with good players. It's just not necessary to act like a jerk and make everyone else look idiots and that's basically what I see you doing.

Phoenix, it may not be intentional from your side. However, it looks that way and that's why you're getting so much flack. Tone it down and you won't have to be defending yourself all the time. Humility is a good thing!

Then get an early night and rise early for MBJ. You gotta get your priorities straight. I'm up @ 1am for the tourneys and I have to get up ~6am the next day sometimes.

I'm using a friend's Angelfire account... maybe his credit card expired and they demoted his account, which would explain why the webpages have ads now... they have always been ad free. And now the spreadsheet is not showing properly, so I imagine it's a related problem.

Btw, Week 15 of the HORSE season is tomorrow night.

Only 15 of 20 weeks count. I don't know if you knew that. Depending on the turnout, it may be worth missing even if it counts as point totals may be lower than needed.

Actually I didn't have a problem with the call, you played your way into poor situation and ended up making what was always a marginal call considering the worst hand I had showed down was AQ.

Angelfire, you're fired! Geez, w/ no phone support, you'd think their online support would be decent. I honestly tried my best to give them money, but I couldn't figure out how to do it... that can't be good for business

Looks like I missed an interesting tournament. One thing I will say is: Why get mad when others play bad? I only get mad if I make what I consider to be a mistake. Also, there is no reason to belittle other people. This is supposed to be a fun event. I have been in the lead pretty much from the first week (I do have more tournaments in then many of the people behind me) and havent said anything. Its just enjoyable to play with a group of people who want to play and talk .

i played badddddd...... it's just everyone was so tight so rather than play my useal conservative game i raised alot more and 2.5bb rather than 3bb, cos few were coming back at me. thanks for defending me though. i sense i'm probally gunna get slated for this proformance. that A9 hand was just plain bad. i dunno about takin that 2.1 with that draw when i needed 3.1. i felt i should take a shot however i'd raised such a poor hand i didn't have an overcard or anything to go with my hand.

i dunno if i should have restole with that JK obvoiusly i had to do something with it, probally should have taken a flop. i was generally reraising tight though the times i reraised you apart from that time i had A9 or better. i folded KQ to your all ins over my raises a couple of times as well. generally i ask people to not judge me on that bad proformance.

I think we're good to go this Sunday. We took only 2 weeks off in Season 3 and don't see a need to take a 3rd week off this season, but I'll PM Rick to confirm.

It's kind of like a league of forum members. You are welcome to play as much or as little as you want, but the 1st 15 weeks that one plays counts toward the leaderboard.

I love your work. Starting next Friday I have a tournament series that I am holding (you can find it in the Private tournament section, it is called the FTP wicked cool series). I was wondering if you would like to run the leaderboard for it. If you would do this for me, I will enter you into one of the tournaments ($11 value). I will give you the point totals and all you will have to do is set up the page. Let me know if you are interested. If not I will be setting up the leaderboard on this forum.
