Nice post on explaining how the site's aren't rigged. Probablly the most reasonable argument is that they make enough money, why rigg the site. I know pokerstars is rigged for sure because on their policy page somewhere it says the flop, turn and river is affected by the card held by the players involved or something like that. Thats why you see so many straight losing to flush, straight losing to full house, etc.
Actually this is why pokerstars is the biggest poker site on the internet. By dishing so many bad beats it reward shi**y players. Why would they do this? So these idiots would keep on coming back to the site to play. Hey I just won't 2 pots re raising all in with Q 10, 33 maybe I have talent?
However, you don't know which way its rigged so you have just as many chance to dish out a bad beat. Hell, I cracked pocket aces twice on the SAME TABLE on a tourny. Lol, caught runner runner runner runner diamonds.
Poker stars is absolutely rigged. I have played on many sites and i don not see the crap i see there. You cant even trap people on the cause of masive suckouts. I had KK vs AQ on the bubble in $75 buy in. flop was
KKA turn A river A. Thats just one of the many experiences I have had. It rewards donkeys to the fullest so they think they are good and keep reloading. I also play live and dont see anything like this. Its a joke and someone should take some action. this is our money after all!!!!!!

Not according to the Poker Stars website, which I quoted above. I'm not saying it's not random, simply that it does use inputs such as mouse movements. Read the quote - I put it there for a reason, and did not make it up.
YES
On poker stars, at least, the algorithm uses random inputs to calculate a random number, which determines the card to be dealt. Among these are timing and mouse movements. Here's the relevant passage from their site:
We understand that a use of a fair and unpredictable shuffle algorithm is critical to our software. To ensure this and avoid major problems described in [2], we are using two independent sources of truly random data:
user input, including summary of mouse movements and events timing, collected from client software
true hardware random number generator developed by Intel [3], which uses thermal noise as an entropy source
Each of these sources itself generates enough entropy to ensure a fair and unpredictable shuffle.
This is for poker stars. I can't imagine full tilt's software being too much different.
so what are you saying, I should do my little dance before the hand starts?
well that settles it, I am definately going to do a little dance with my mouse the next time I am on a draw.
What does mouse movements have to do with it. I know the timing of your call will affect the out come, but can't believe moving you mouse would affect it at all. If so, can someone please explain how?
Yes! Let's start by reviving a 2 year old topic by posting the same thing 8 times! That'll be sure to get all the proper attention!
PokerStars does use mouse movements, clicks, etc to AID in the creation of a random seed; however, it is NOT done as the hand progresses. Mouse movements, clicks, etc are collect before the start of a hand to add additional entropy to the hardware random number generator and that seed is then used to shuffle the deck.
The next card isn't determined by the timing of a click. If it was, the site is rigged. It's random.
Actually, to some extent, yes it is. The algorithms use random inputs, including timing of a click and player mouse movements in order to generate the random number. The number is still random, and can't be predicted or controlled, even knowing how the algorithm works, but if you clicked with a different timing, the card would be different.
